Here are 3 tips to stand out in the candidate pool:
1) Go beyond your online application by utilizing LinkedIn to network directly with hiring manager.

You will be in front of the hiring manager before the vetting process even occurs.
2) Educate yourself about potential employers by following the company’s socials; especially on LinkedIn.
Set up a Google Alert to ensure you are up to date on their press.
This is pertinent research for when interviewing with stakeholders.
3) Update resume and LinkedIn with dates and roles aligned in chronological order.
Focus on accomplishments and successes under each position.
Hiring managers spend a matter of seconds scanning your credentials.
